Comment Policy

This site uses a dofollow comment policy. Why? I believe if anyone takes the time to contribute to the discussion on this blog, I’m only too happy to give out a backlink.

There is an obvious risk of being spammed because of having the key word luv plugin installed, I have noticed many people have commented as a result of finding the site from searching for the phrases contained within the plugin setup.

This is not in the spirit of the dofollow idea to begin with, searching the plugin phrases but I am sure we all do it and I don’t have much of a problem with it but I feel I must institute a few rules to maintain the integrity of the comments left on this blog.

  • If a comment is made as a result of searching typical dofollow plugin phrases, and make no mistake about it – I do know the term that you used in the SE, I will do the following:
    1. - Check Out Your URL
    2. If the found site is a landing page, redirect, or is thin on content (in other words – just a sales pitch), I will remove the URL and any references to it.

If the site contains objectionable material – pornography, hate, dodgy products, etc. I will delete the comment.

    3. - Moderate Your Comment
    4. First thing is – Your comment must be composed of readable sentences or collections of words that make sense to anyone reading it. Read – understandable! If it’s a jumble of keyword spam, or just something generic that works with anything, I’ll spam your comment.

If I don’t think your comment contributes in any way to the post and the discussion, I will delete it. I don’t care if you disagree, I’ll post it if you are contributing to the discussion.

  • Comments are always Moderated!
  • This is normal practice for most blogs as it is here. I don’t care whether you agree or disagree with anything posted, I will post the comment if it adds value to the discussion… period. I am no going to censor anyones point of view. If your comment is solely for the purpose of getting the link, I may post it without the link and say why I did so.

The bottom line here is that the dofollow link you receive can help you and me, don’t you abuse it. I will do my very best to keep the junk and spam out.

    Thanks
    Jim

    UPDATE: December 8th, 2009

I have decided to discontinue the use of any dofollow plugins on this site due to the amount of junk comments. It’s really too bad but what can I say. I’m not really interested in promoting other peoples websites or blogs that just search for the plugins and spam comment. It requires too much time and effort.

I will also not post any comments with links in the comment itself, if you pop in a url, I will delete it.
