Have you been trying to learn How to Build a Business Online but you don’t really know where to start? This can be very confusing if you’re new to the idea of Making Money Online and if you are trying to replace your income. You may have lost a job recently or maybe you just want to be able to build a sustainable income where you’re in control.
If you have been surfing around the web recently, especially the blogosphere, you may have witnessed some posting about Site Build It and whether it’s a scam or not. I guess you could say there are some entrenched opinions on either side of the issue.
I have a couple of things to say about the whole mess and I don’t give a shit who thinks what about it!
Site Build It Scam. Is it? They have a system that tries to guide a totally GREEN person through a maze of confusing concepts, using a very basic block building process. Step by step, SBI actually tries to educate a person on setting up an Internet Business from the ground up. They try to provide information about internet basics. Things many people may have never heard before.
I have some SBI sites in my network of sites and I also use other avenues to grow my internet income. Will I renew with SBI? Probably not, but that does not mean I think it’s a scam. Maybe it’s just not for me!
Am I going to advise people not to use SBI? If at some point in time I post a review, I will point out the Pros and Cons. Isn’t that what a review does? Like many other businesses online, they are in business to make money. They deliver on their offer without deception or lies. Is it fair to call a business a scam, when it’s totally untrue? No. Obviously not. If you don’t like it, say so, say why, and try to make it FACTUAL.
Don’t get me wrong here, I love the controversy, but let’s be real here folks. Make it True!
Do I think there are better solutions than Site Build It for me and others? Obviously I do. As you will observe, this site is not a Site Build It site. Do I think they are overpriced? Maybe, maybe not!
My point here is this: If you are going to expose a scam, make sure it is a scam! This is called a Publishing Ethic and it’s basic stuff!
If you want to make money online, and I assume anyone reading this does or they’re just checking me out, getting involved with the character assassination and tearing down of a business that has not done anything but promote themselves truthfully, is truly misleading and a deception in and of itself, but very good at getting traffic to a blog!
Everything you get at SBI can be found online free. It takes a lot of digging unless you’re searching the right keywords. Some people don’t want to spend time searching high and low for every piece of the puzzle. Offer the alternatives in a fair and honest way. Do some research into it. Get the real facts. Offer your recommendations without the misinformation.
I really hate most of the shit that gets passed off online for helping you make money, and there are very few Internet Marketers that I follow and respect because most are prima donnas or selling junk!
Site Build It is only one place to get a site built and hosted and it’s designed for people with zero experience. If you look around the web you’ll find other site builder packages as well. These packages cost a considerable amount of cash, as does SBI, considering what you can get for free or next to free, and do not really offer a lot when it comes to expandability. Be an informed consumer and do your homework.
I come from a publishing background and have been an entrepreneur for many years. I built websites around my publishing enterprises in the early 90s when the Web was very new to most people. The only thing the sites were supposed to do was promote my business on the street which they didn’t really do very well at the time. The web? What’s that? But, back then, I did make money online doing some pretty spammy shit!
I’ve been out of it for quite a while, so I’m not new to all of this, but I am a noob! I’m trying to muddle my way through it as well so I can make a sustainable income online and give up the grinding 9 – 5.
If you’ve been here before you’ll notice I’ve dumped the ads with a few exceptions. This is not in response to the SBI fiasco, but because of being sand-boxed. Just following some respected advice.
I keep trying stuff, some works, some doesn’t. There are a lot of places online to find out how to get there for free. Seek and you shall find. That’s what I do!
There are many choices out there and it’s difficult, when you’re just learning How to Build a Business Online. To know which one to pick is not easy so you need to try lots of different approaches.
Caveat Emptor my friends! Pay attention to the details or you will get screwed or led down the proverbial garden path.
Stay Tuned
